This is a very rare 1954 Harley-Davidson FL Police bike. Not only is this the highly collectible 50-year Anniversary FL, it is the police model. Adding to the unusualness of this bike is its provenance. This Police bike had one owner who was never in the police force. The mayor of a Colorado town was his buddy and this specific bike was purchased for him. The new owner of this bike will receive ownership receipts and registrations that belong to this bike. This Police FL is ready to ride...and I have! It runs great and sounds great! The first time I took it out, I was pulled over by someone wanting to take pictures. The restoration began with the pictures of the motorcycle we acquired from the original owner family (the black bike ). Fortunately, we began with a bike that had not been messed-with and was very "straight". Even the original 50 Year Anniversary emblem was attached to the front fender! Great care has been taken over four and a half years to procure the correct parts and to restore the bike cosmetically and mechanically to like-new condition. The engine has been fully rebuilt by a Panhead specialist. The original speedometer has been restored by a master craftsman who does nothing else but this.
