This 1974 Moto Guzzi Eldorado is a two-owner bike with 16,500 original miles on it. This is a very correct and unrestored example of "The Machine Built for Unlimited Touring".
This handsome Eldorado retains the original factory paint including the hand pin striping and silk-screened tank logos, not the reproduction decals you normally see.
Other than the fuel line and spark plug leads, the bike remains true and proper. A unique feature of the 1974 Eldorado is the quad leading shoe front drum brake from the V-7 Sport; a surprisingly effective drum brake upgrade available for only a short time prior to the appearance of disc brakes.
Over the last 35 years it has suffered very few minor scrapes and dents. There are two scuffs on the original seat cover, boot scrapes and rock dings here and there, one tool box lock fell out (replacement being installed now), and there is minor oxidation on various metal surfaces - just enough patina to let you know it has not been redone.
Everything works as it should. The five-speed shift pattern is left side, UP for first, down for the rest. Starter spins well, battery holds a charge, engine sounds quiet and runs smooth, idles easily, and starts quickly. New petcocks were just installed. The mufflers have minor dents. The headlight shines bright. New, professionally balanced, tires and rim straps were just installed.
Title is clear, and the bike is ready to ride.
